The Awesome Journey to Everest Base Camp – Day 2

After a restful night in Phakding, it’s time to continue your journey to Everest Base Camp. Day 2 of the trek will take you from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa village located at an altitude of 3,440 meters (11,286 feet). This part of the trek is a bit more challenging than the first day, but the stunning views and cultural encounters make it well worth the effort.

In Namche Bazaar, you can take a rest day to explore the village and acclimatize to the altitude. There are several interesting cultural sites to visit, including the Sagarmatha National Park Museum and the Khumjung Monastery. You can also take a short hike up to the nearby Everest View Hotel, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Everest itself.
